Who Made That Sound? Audio Identification with AWS Sagemaker AI! | By APU AIC and AWS SBG APU
About Our Event
🎶 "It's a Bird, It's a Plane, It’s Audio AI!"
Hosted by the Artificial Intelligence Club (AIC) and AWS Student Builder Group (AWS SBG) at Asia Pacific University (APU), this session guides participants through the practical pipeline of training machine learning models on Google Collab and deploying them on AWS SageMaker.
Upload a short audio clip and instantly discover whether the sound came from an animal or a machine, across multiple categories from the ESC‑50 dataset.
This workshop is designed for intermediate learners with some familiarity with AWS user control and programming fundamentals is required. You’ll gain hands‑on experience in building, evaluating, and deploying audio classification models, while learning how cloud services and interactive tools like Gradio bring AI to life.
By the end, you’ll have deployed your own audio classifier and seen it in action!
⚠️Important Note
To participate in the hands‑on session, you’ll need to activate the $100 AWS Free Credits available with your student email. This setup requires linking your bank account to your AWS account.
After the workshop, please remember to cancel your subscription or set up your billing flag to avoid any charges.
⚠️Disclaimer: Asia Pacific University Artificial Intelligence Club (APU AIC) and AWS Student Builder Group (AWS SBG APU) will not be responsible for any charges incurred on participants’ AWS accounts. It is the responsibility of each participant to manage, monitor, and cancel their own AWS subscription after the workshop to avoid costs.
✨ Note: You are welcome to attend the workshop even if you choose not to join the hands‑on portion.
