A collaboration between Book Club Toronto and Ukai Projects
Read Outside is a public reading gathering that invites people to slow down, step outdoors, and share space through books, ideas, and conversation. Bringing together readers, artists, students, and neighbours, this collaborative event transforms public space into a temporary reading room where curiosity, reflection, and connection can unfold.
Participants are encouraged to bring a book, article, poem, zine, or text they are currently exploring. Whether you're deep into a novel, revisiting theory, reading comics, or simply looking for a quiet place to sit with others, Read Outside offers an open and welcoming environment for collective reading and informal dialogue.
Rooted in the spirit of community, learning, and third-space culture, Read Outside celebrates the simple act of reading together in public.
