AI Builders Basketball Tournament | .local Build Fest Week
In anticipation of MongoDB .local Build Fest on August 13th, we’re bringing builders together for a 3v3 basketball tournament designed for competition, connection, and community.
This event brings together 96 builders (32 teams) for a chance to compete for a $3,000 cash prize, plus additional prizes from our sponsors. Expect a high-energy evening with great matchups, strong builder turnout, and plenty of opportunities to connect off the court.
In the spirit of the season, this will be a World Cup style basketball showdown: 32 teams, three games guaranteed, then it's single elimination, winner takes all. Group stages lead into knockout rounds, building up to one epic final.
Built for developers, founders, and technical builders who want to meet other members of the community, have some fun, and bring a competitive edge before Build Fest.

Under Dog Prize: $500 in bonus funds each for the 3 members of the winning team. Runners up $100 each in bonus funds

1:30 PM — Arrival, check-in, warm-up
2:15 PM — Opening remarks and games begin
4:30 PM — Finals and awards
5:00 PM — Closing ceremony / Shoot Around
