October Itoju Social: Movies & Chill

​Are you an international student looking to connect with other international students and former international students? Or to take a break from studying? Join us for a cozy afternoon watching movies - centering queer stories and honoring the diversity that exists within the international student community.

​If you're looking for representation or just a chill evening with community, this social is all about connection, conversation, and enjoying movies together.

​✨ Here’s what to Expect:

• ​screening: The Prom

• ​Snacks and drinks (feel free to bring your own favorites, too)

• ​Plenty of seating but you’re welcome to bring a blanket or anything that makes you feel cozy

​💡 Good to Know:

• ​If you’re an international student  in Ontario and need transportation support, let us know—we’re happy to cover part of your costs

• ​Dress code: casual, come as you are

• ​Time: 2 PM – 6 PM (we have the space for a limited time, so don’t be late!)

• ​Who it’s for:

  • ​current and former international students from the African Diaspora. Priority will be given to current international students.

  • ​2SLGBTQIA+ folks, allies, and supporters.

• ​The space is wheelchair accessible
