What Inspires You? A Career & Passion Collage Workshop
This event is part of the annual Foundry Festival!
Let's think about our futures with our hands! In this creative workshop, attendees will design and create physical representations of their dream careers, lives, passions, and pathways using art supplies, craft materials, and their vivid imaginations.
Participants will start by exploring what they actually care about, via their own ideas and/or with the support of creative prompts: "Draw your ideal Tuesday," "Create a day where you're doing something you love," "What would you spend time on if you could do anything?" Then, using cardboard, markers, magazines, fabric scraps, and whatever else we can find, attendees will build 2D and 3D representations of their future. Attendees can create anything—a dream workspace, a visual map of their passions and interests, a model of a place they want to create, or a collage showing how they want to spend their time.
We'll have a gallery walk at the end where everyone shares their creation and the story behind it—all in the name of celebration of possibilities. The messier and more authentic, the better. Some might design a traveling art studio, others might create a community garden that also teaches kids about science, or a vision board showing how they want to help people. We're excited to see what attendees create!
