==================================
Talk 1: The Only Limitation Is Your Imagination by Patrick Reagan (Lightning Talk)

Description:

Skill and taste are still yours. What moved: the rote work and the gaps where you're not the expert — agents cover both. So more ideas clear the bar from "worth it" to "worth trying." 15 real projects, software and not, plus a live replay of totally hands-off macOS app build. The hard part isn't capability. It's remembering to ask an agent before doing it by hand.

Bio:

Patrick is a Senior Software Developer at TestFit (https://www.testfit.io/) and amateur Dad at home.

Talk 2: Protecting your MCP server by Dan Moore of FusionAuth.io (Full Talk)

Description:

The model context protocol (MCP) is a way for AI tools and agents to connect to databases and APIs, which has an official Ruby SDK ( modelcontextprotocol/ruby-sdk ). In this talk, you’ll learn about the basics of MCP, then how to set up a simple MCP server and connect it to Claude Desktop. Then we’ll set up an authorization server to require user login and consent for specific actions.

Bio:

Dan Moore is a senior director for CIAM Strategy and Identity Standards at FusionAuth, where he helps customers and community members create solutions, contributes to identity standards, and educates developers about auth and OAuth. He’s written, contributed to or edited 5 books, including “Letters To a New Developer” and “97 Things Every Cloud Engineer Should Know”. A former CTO, technical trainer, engineering manager and longtime developer, Dan has been writing software for (checks watch) over 25 years.
