About Event

Claude Code, taught by somebody who does not call herself a developer.

Every session about Claude Code is aimed at engineers. This one is not.

Claude Code is the version of Claude that works directly with files on your own machine. It reads them, changes them, builds things, and runs what it built. That description scares off a lot of people who would get enormous use out of it, because it sounds like it requires a background they do not have.

Amanda Woodin does not have that background either. She learned this by opening it and getting it wrong repeatedly, in public, which is exactly why she can teach it to the people the documentation was not written for.

She works live. Real files, real tasks, nothing rehearsed. When it does something unexpected she stops and works out why in front of you instead of cutting to the version that worked.

You leave having watched somebody without a technical background use a technical tool successfully, which is a more useful thing to see than a demo by somebody who already knew.

This is the second of three sessions built to stack. Claude 101 comes first and covers the foundation. AI Showdown, where Claude and ChatGPT run the same work side by side, closes the series on September 25. Each one stands on its own. They just get better in order.

Come with something you want built. Bring a terminal open if you have one, or just watch.

Beginners welcome. This one starts from the beginning.
