What is Mission Valley Garden Club? We are a new club forming out of the need for community and access to native plant landscaping/gardening education in Mission Valley. No prior skills or experience is needed for Garden Club, just an interest in community education and connecting to the biodiversity that the beautiful San Diego River watershed has to offer!
Event Details & Schedule
When: Every 1st & 3rd Saturday of the month
Time: 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM (Arrive at 8:45 AM for check-in)
Where: Grant Park, 2310 Camino Del Rio N, Mission Valley, 92108
Cost: Free (Family-friendly)
Activities
Lecture or talk from native plant landscaping expert/professional
Plant and nurture native seedlings
Weed, water, and maintain regional habitat zones
Discover eco-friendly landscaping ideas for your home yard or patio
We start each club meeting with a learning session from a local native plant landscaping/gardening expert, then we transition to our gardening activities such as weeding, watering, native seed processing, and more.
What to Bring & Wear
Attire: Closed-toe shoes are mandatory
Gear: Drinking water, snacks, sun protection, and a hat
Tools: All tools are provided; feel free to bring your own work gloves if preferred
If you have weekday availability, join us on Thursday mornings for Grant Park Community Stewards.

For safety reasons, no pets are allowed at this event
There are restroom facilities at this location
All ages are welcome, but those under 16 need supervision. Ages 16 and 17 are allowed alone but with a parent signature.
