Climate Fresk Japan is happy to invite you to discover the new version of the Climate Fresk!
This session is ideal for:
People joining the Climate Fresk for the first time.
People who already enjoyed the 1st Generation of the workshop, and would like to experience the difference with this new version
Trained facilitators in Japan who would like to get ready to run the 2nd Generation of the workshop for their own sessions
We will run 3 sessions in parallel:

Climate Fresk Gen2, Regular Cards, in Japanese
Climate Fresk Gen2, Essential Cards, in English

More about the Climate Fresk 2nd Generation
The 2nd-Generation workshop has a new objective: to develop an attitude lucid, optimistic And active :
Lucid on the seriousness of the climate situation and on the urgency and scale of the societal changes that need to be made. This objective combines the needs of:
To understand the physical causes and consequences of climate change (work of IPCC group 1).
Reflect as a group on adaptation and/or mitigation solutions from the individual to the collective level (work of IPCC groups 2 and 3).
Optimistic, by helping participants know that over 5,000 pages from IPCC Working Groups 2 and 3 show that various scenarios for limiting global warming to below 2°C and adapting to its consequences are known, feasible, and desirable. Research shows that people are less likely to take action when they believe the problem can’t be solved. So the aim is not at all to make participants believe that the transition is guaranteed to succeed, but rather to help them know that it is possible in principle, as demonstrated by the IPCC!
Active by having participants build their own individual and collective action plan and giving them the desire to implement it. This is achieved using the “Steps to Empowerment” method, which is now proposed to lead the “Discussion and action” part - and it’s generating a lot of enthusiasm!

クライメート・フレスク第2世代について
第2世代のワークショップには新たな目標があります：明晰で、楽観的で、行動的な姿勢を育むことです。
明晰さ：気候状況の深刻さ、そして必要な社会変革の緊急性と規模について正しく理解すること。この目標は以下のニーズを統合しています：
気候変動の物理的な原因と影響を理解する（IPCCグループ1の成果）
個人から集団レベルまで、適応策や緩和策について参加者がグループで考察する（IPCCグループ2・3の成果）
楽観性：IPCCワーキンググループ2および3の5,000ページを超える報告書が、地球温暖化を2℃未満に抑制し、その影響に適応するための様々なシナリオが既知であり、実現可能であり、かつ望ましいものであることを示していると参加者が認識できるよう支援すること。問題が解決不可能だと思われると、人々は行動を起こしにくくなるという研究結果があります。したがって、移行の成功を確約するものではなく、IPCCが示すように原則として可能であることを参加者に理解してもらうことが目的です。
行動性：参加者が個人・集団としての行動計画を自ら構築し、実行への意欲を持てるようにすること。これは「エンパワーメントへのステップ」メソッドを活用して実現され、現在では「ディスカッションとアクション」パートのメインメソッドとして採用されており、大きな反響を呼んでいます！
