SING FOR OUR TIME TOO: The Odysseys of Homer and Nolan

​In this noontime lecture, Dr. Anna S. Uhlig, Chair of the UC Davis Classics Department, explores the relationship between Christopher Nolan's film and Homer's epic poem. She’ll provide context and historical insight while diving into the timeless themes of longing and the power of storytelling. The talk will unpack how Nolan adapts the ancient story for the modern world and where his narrative departs from the original. A light lunch will be served. This event is free and open to all!

​How can I get to the venue?

​For those unfamiliar with UC Davis' campus, there will be students and staff on the Quad to help you find the venue.

​The closest parking lots are the Quad Parking Structure and Parking Lots 14 and 15. All require purchasing parking passes, which can be conveniently purchased through one of the UC Davis parking apps.
