About Event

A six-hour build session at the Aris Machina office in Stockholm. Bring an idea, leave with something that runs.

This is the second edition of Aris & Friends, a hackathon hosted by Aris Machina, the team behind Protos, the physics-based AI platform for industrial knowledge work. For one night Protos is your workbench, powered by Anthropic compute and with the engineers who built it on hand to unblock you.

The challenge this round: spot a bad design, engineer a better one with Protos. Pick a part, a process, or a product that's clearly flawed, and rebuild it from first principles. Working prototypes over polished pitches. To be in the running you'll need to build on Protos and put a live demo in front of the judges at 20:00.

What you get

  • Protos live during the event, with the team behind it in the room

  • Pizza, drinks, and a room full of builders

  • A real demo with an audience at the end of the night

  • 3,000 SEK Amazon gift card and a 3-month Protos trial for the winning team. If you're looking to work on this kind of problem full time, this is also a good way to get on our radar.

Who should come

Engineers, scientists, and researchers, plus founders and students who like to build. Mechanical, materials, industrial, and process engineers; R&D scientists; AI/ML and data folks; full-stack devs; the hardware-curious and biohackers. If you work close to real physical systems, this is your room. Solo applicants will get teamed up on the day.
