Planned Serendipity
Planned Serendipity — A Full Day with Gil Ribeiro
"Like a magician, a photographer can weave spells with their camera, creating images that provoke imagination, stir emotions, and reveal the extraordinary within the ordinary."
Morning — 9:00am–12:00pm Praça do Comércio, Lisbon
We start on the waterfront, learning the art of the invisible approach. Moving through Lisbon's streets, Gil teaches the group to read a scene before it happens, prep their settings on the move, and shoot before the moment closes.
Break — 12:00–1:00pm Lunch on your own or with the group.
Afternoon — 1:00pm–4:00pm Absent, Rua da Glória 78, Lisboa
The group reconvenes with Gil for a workshop dissecting the day's shots, identifying the decisive moment in a sequences, and learning how see like a storyteller.
