House 831 is hosting Office Hours with Graphite Ventures on December 3rd from 2:00PM-5:00PM! If you're a student founder looking for strategic advice or feedback, connect with Omi Velasco in a one-on-one, intimate setting for insight and advice on what you’re building. Whether you’re looking to perfect your pitch, getting VC perspective on the current market, or anything else, come on out.
The House will be open to all attendees from 2:00PM-5:00PM, with our private barista serving free coffee. Arrive early or stay after your session to connect with other founders. House 831 is for fostering meaningful connections and building together—come experience it as a member.

If selected, you’ll receive an email 1 week before event date with your time slot.
Come prepared with your most pressing questions and materials to make the most of your session.

Omi Velasco is a Principal at Graphite Ventures, where she co-led Alberta-based investments in WaitWell and Ontopical, with Ontopical acquired in 2025 by KKR-backed SOVRA.
Originally from Colombia and based in Calgary, Omi brings a global perspective to venture capital. Before joining Graphite, she co-founded Aventrock, a family office investing in traditional businesses and early-stage technology funds, and companies such as NanoTess, Showbie, Apollo Insurance, among others. She also served as Executive Director of the Venture Capital Association of Alberta.
Earlier in her career, she was COO of PirPos, a restaurant management platform acquired by Loggro, a leading ERP provider for SMBs, and worked at Deloitte on ServiceNow and SAP technology strategy implementations. Omi holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Supply Chain Management from the University of Calgary and has lived in five countries and visited more than 50.
