Build a prototype at the ROBOT-luck (look up potluck to understand)
Here's the updated description:
AI Whisperers is diving deep into hardware for 2026. We now run ROBOT-LUCKS
This is a fun event where you both learn how to build robots and also bring lego robot pieces and/or food to share with everyone else who comes
What We're Doing: this class will be focused on basic prototyping skills whether its soldering, or using a protoboard to prove out electronic connections
I'm thinking of it as handing out Lego blocks. You walk out with the pieces and the skills to start building your own thing. Bring empanadas or whatever other food you want to share with everyone else
The Format: This isn't traditional teaching — it's collaborative discovery. Stewart has ESP32s running Meshtastic networks, Raspberry Pi systems, and voice assistants. You bring your curiosity. We figure out what these systems unlock together.
Three Kinds of Spots (max 6 people in person):
New attendees — $20 USD. If you haven't come to an AI Whisperers hardware session before, the fee covers your ESP32 (which you walk away with) and makes sure you actually show up. We've had too many dropouts and it's not fair to the people who do come.
Returning attendees — free. If you already have an ESP32 from a previous session, the class is free and you may walk out with a new robot lego piece
Assistant spot — application. One spot for someone who wants to learn to teach. You help me run the session first, and over time you grow into teaching the class yourself. Think of it as an apprenticeship into the cohort.
It's a bit of a treasure hunt — free hardware is on the table, but you have to show up, learn, and keep coming back to unlock it.
Bring: Laptop if you want to code along, and questions about what you want to build.
Note: Location details shared with confirmed attendees only.
