🌿 Community Nature Walk - A CoQuest Side Quest ⛵️
A relaxed morning walk along one of Hamilton’s scenic escarpment trails, Chedoke Radial Trail! 🌿
This community walk offers an opportunity to get some fresh morning air, move your body and connect with others while exploring the Chedoke Radial Trail and Scenic Lookout.
We will meet at the bottom of the Dundurn Stairs and begin our walk at 10:00AM, heading through the forest toward the Scenic Lookout before returning along the same path at a comfortable, beginner-friendly pace.
✨ Expect fresh air, conversation and a peaceful start to the day.
During the Walk:
↦ A guided group walk along the Chedoke Radial Trail
↦ Light Snacks for the trail
↦ A stop at the Scenic Lookout
↦ Casual conversation and connection with other community members
↦ Time spent exploring one of Hamilton’s beautiful outdoor spaces
Meet-Up Details: Bottom of Dundurn Stairs
🌿 We will meet at the bottom of the Dundurn Stairs
🌿 Walk starts at 10:00AM
Your host Michelle will be there by 9:45AM with light snacks.
🚌 The trail entrance is accessible by HSR bus routes near Scenic Dr / Mohawk Rd.
If coming from the escarpment, you can access the stairs from Beckett Dr / Garth St and walk down the Dundurn Stairs to the meeting point.
🚗 Free street parking is available along Scenic Drive or at the Chedoke Golf Course parking lot.
What to bring:

↦ Weather-appropriate clothing
Trail Notes:
🌿 The walk will be approximately 5.7 km round trip and will take about 1.5 hours at a comfortable pace.
🌿 The trail is natural terrain and may be muddy depending on weather conditions.
🌿 The event is weather dependent. If there is significant rain, the walk will be rescheduled for a later date.

This event is part of the larger CoQuest Art Festival & Forum, a week of gatherings exploring creativity, collaboration, and new ways to support local artists.
CoQuest brings together artists, makers, organizers, and community members through showcases, discussions, and collaborative experiences designed to strengthen the local creative ecosystem.
Side Quests are community-run events and workshops within the festival, smaller gatherings where attendees can learn from and connect with other local creatives.
