Innovations in Additive Manufacturing: From 3D Printing to Sustainable Filament Recycling

2. Overview

This two-day intensive workshop aims to provide participants with hands-on knowledge of Additive Manufacturing (AM), 3D Printing, and plastic waste recycling for sustainable filament production. The workshop will blend theory, case studies, and practical sessions, including CAD modeling (Fusion 360) and demonstrations on converting PET bottles into 3D printing filaments.

3. Objectives

By the end of the workshop, participants will:

Understand AM technologies (3D printing, rapid prototyping, and drone manufacturing).

Compare Additive vs. Subtractive Manufacturing methods.

Learn plastic waste recycling techniques for filament production.

Gain hands-on experience in CAD design (Fusion 360) for 3D printing.

Explore real-world applications in drone prototyping and sustainable manufacturing.
