​ABOUT THE EVENT

​A hands-on intro to working with AI agents. No experience needed. You'll leave with one real thing running.

​Most of us have typed something into a chatbot by now. Far fewer have watched one actually do the work: open the files, connect to the tools you already use, and finish the job while you go get a coffee. That gap is what these four hours are for.

​You'll set it up on your own laptop, point it at something real from your own work, and go home with it running. Not a demo on a screen at the front of the room. Yours.

​Some of it will feel like magic and some of it will feel like a stubborn intern who needs everything spelled out. Both are worth seeing, and knowing the difference is most of the skill.

​What you'll walk out with

• ​Claude Code installed and working on your own laptop

• ​It connected to at least one tool you already use, like your email, your online store, or another app you use everyday.

• ​One finished thing you picked yourself: a working website, a job that runs on a schedule without you, or your everyday work tools wired up and ready

• ​A clearer sense of what's worth handing off and what you should keep doing yourself

​Who it's for

​Anyone. You don't need to code, and you don't need to know what any of the acronyms mean. If you've been meaning to sit down and work out what all this AI stuff actually does at work, and you've never found four uninterrupted hours to do it, this is those four hours.

​The room is capped at 12 so nobody sits there stuck.

​What to bring

• ​A laptop you're able to install an app on. Locked down work laptops are the one thing that can spoil the afternoon, so check before you come.

• ​A paid Claude account, sorted the night before. This is the only homework and it takes about five minutes. We'll send you the link and a walkthrough well in advance. Turning up without it means missing the first 30 minutes.

• ​One real task from your job you'd love to stop doing by hand. Bring the most boring, repetitive one.

​How the four hours run

​Hour 1 - Getting everyone set up. It's an app you download like any other, so most of this hour is spent connecting it to your own accounts. Nobody moves on until everyone in the room is running.

​Hour 2 - Your first real task, start to finish, so you see the whole loop instead of a trick.

​Break.

​Hours 3 and 4 - Pick what you want to build and build it, with help walking around the room.

​Last fifteen minutes - Everyone shows the thing they made.
