FaithTech Lament Event: Build Redemptively
What if the first step toward building something meaningful isn't finding a solution—but truly understanding the problem?
Join FaithTech Seattle for an inspiring, hands-on gathering as we connect faith, technology, and community to explore how we can create meaningful change in the world around us.
FaithTech believes there is a uniquely Jesus way of building technology—a redemptive way. One that begins not with what we can build, but with understanding the people we are called to serve.
On October 24, we're coming together to take the first step in that journey: Lament.
What Is Lament?
Lament is the first of four practices in FaithTech's Redemptive Create Cycle: Lament, Discern, Build, and Steward.
In a world that celebrates moving fast and solving problems, FaithTech invites us to begin differently.
We patiently refuse to rush past pain.
We listen, feel the weight of what is broken, bring it before Jesus, and invite the Holy Spirit to shape both our understanding and our response.
The purpose of lament is to help us understand truthfully, love compassionately, and approach the next decision without assuming that our first idea is God’s answer.
What Will We Do Together?
This isn't just a presentation—it's an opportunity to participate, collaborate, and help shape what FaithTech Seattle builds next!
Together, we'll:
Connect with fellow Christians passionate about faith, technology, and making a difference.
Explore the FaithTech approach to creating technology redemptively.
Listen and reflect on real challenges, unmet needs, and brokenness in our communities.
Pray and collaborate as we seek to understand where God may be calling us to respond.
Identify potential opportunities for FaithTech Seattle to pursue through future projects and collaborative building.
Our goal is to leave with a deeper understanding of the needs around us and a shared sense of where our community might focus its creative energy.
We're not gathering to build an app in four hours. We're gathering to discover what is worth building—and why.
Who Should Attend?
You belong in this conversation!
Whether you're a developer, designer, entrepreneur, technologist, ministry leader, student, creative thinker, or simply someone who wants to use your God-given gifts to serve others, we'd love to have you join us.
You don't need to know how to code, have a project idea, or have participated in FaithTech before. Bring your curiosity, your perspective, and a willingness to listen and collaborate.
