Macramé Market Bag
Macramé traces back to 13th-century Arab weavers, who first knotted decorative fringes onto textiles — a technique later carried across the Mediterranean by sailors, who passed the hours at sea knotting rope into functional, beautiful things. That same spirit lives in the market bag: a piece made to be used, not just admired.
Over the course of the session, you'll learn the foundational knots of macramé and build them, row by row, into a sturdy, oversized bag ready for the farmer's market, the beach, or everyday errands. You'll work with cord, developing a rhythm with your hands as the pattern grows.
No experience needed, only curiosity.
