Being Authentic Together π± Ghent #1
βLet's pass on the small talk, and get more present π
βThis is a cosy gathering for English-speaking folks :)
β
βWhat can you expect?
βIn a small group of max. 20 participants, we'll break the ice and connect in a deeper way than we might be used to!
β
βImagine something between fun social games π and relational meditation π§
βSome games are playful and silly, while others go deeper.
β
βWe'll create a warm, supportive environment where we all get to be ourselves, while also:
βExpanding out of our comfort zone π
βGetting the opportunity to build deep friendships π―
βPractice becoming more authentic, daring to say what is really true for us πeven when it's a bit scary
βFor this intro, I will guide you a lot, so if you're a bit nervous, don't worry, we got you! π£
β
βHere's a few things we practice with Authentic Relating games:
βBecoming more curious and less judgmental of ourselves and others π―
βBecoming more aware of what's happening for us in the moment π
βRevealing what is happening for us π¦Έ
βSaying no, asserting our boundaries and preferences
βListening (and being heard) deeplyπ
β
βAnd just to be clear, this is NOT a place to hunt for dates π ββοΈ

βAbout me
βMy name is Abbygaelle. Iβm 31 and became aware of Authentic Relating Games about 8 years ago while living in San Francisco. A game night was recommended to me by a close friend, as he was noticing how shy I was to connect with people π
βI was nervous, but the concept seemed intriguing enough, so I gave it a go. I was so impressed by the simplicity and the profound effects of the exercises!
βUnderstanding that humans could create little practice grounds for authenticity together, was such a powerful insight for me!
βBecause letβs be honest, showing ourselves fully out in the world can feel impossible, terrifying, and counter-productive a lot of the time!
βI was moved deeply by a whole subculture built around authentic expression, and kept deepening into AR and other relational practices such as NVC, Circling, Contact Improv, IFSβ¦
βSo I quickly decided to organize AR workshops for my friends, way back in 2018, and eventually I was spreading these beautiful practices wherever life would take me. Since then Iβve facilitated workshops and curated game nights for various intentional communities and families in the US, South America, Australia, Portugal, and now in my home country of Belgium :)
