Out of Office 01: Comedy Night
Welcome to the first Out of Office Event!
Most networking events run the same script. A company sponsors the room, puts 3-4 engineering/product leaders on a panel to talk about AI, and gently pitches you something. Then the lights come up and you scan the room hoping someone's worth talking to.
Out of Office works the other way around. Every month leads with an actual activity while the networking happens around it. Most importantly, the rooms are curated. They'll have people actively building, or working somewhere that's genuinely doing something
August's event is a comedy show. Three comedians from Just For Laughs Comedy Fest, including one who's toured as Sugar Sammy's opening act.
A ticket covers entry, the show and a one free drink coupon to redeem at the bar.
