Youth Foresight Workshop: What Makes a Future Fair?
Climate change is an inherently intergenerational problem. Its impacts accumulate over decades, are distributed, and extend beyond the political cycles in which climate decisions are made. While intergenerational equity has gained recognition in climate governance, translating the principle into meaningful institutional commitments and policy outcomes remains challenging.
This youth foresight workshop will explore what a future that is fair across generations could look like in everyday life, including what people can access and choose, how generations support one another, and the environmental conditions that make these experiences possible. Using the Three Horizons framework, participants will develop and discuss their own visions of 2040 and explore changes that could connect the present with their visions. No foresight experience needed.
