PauseAI US February Webinar: Federal AI Regulation and Bipartisanship

​These are fraught times for many in the US. But despite the overall rise in partisanship and division, regulating AI remains one issue that enjoys broad bipartisan support. An overwhelming majority of both Democrats and Republicans support slowing down AI development, including 2/3 of Americans supporting a ban on all AI systems smarter than humans. And bipartisan legislation has been introduced in Congress to help address some of these risks and keep our future safe.

​As AI becomes a more salient topic, the potential for division increases. But we can avoid this failure mode and build a coalition of Americans across party lines who want to keep their families and communities safe from superintelligent AI.
