CodeSanta's Sleigh Rush
CodeSanta's Sleigh Rush is a Christmas-themed competitive programming event where teams solve standard CP-style challenges in a unique, structured format.
Instead of writing full code, participants read algorithmic problem statements (involving concepts like arrays, graphs, basic algorithms, debugging) embedded within a "Grinch-caused mischief" narrative, calculate the solution logic, and submit the final answer (a number, string, or sequence) directly via the platform. Teams progress through a visual map featuring three themed "Houses" of increasing difficulty (Candyhouse Cottage, Snowflake Workshop, Reindeer Training Barn), solving a set of problems in each before unlocking the next. The event culminates in a final challenge at "Santa's Headquarters."
This format tests core CP problem-solving skills—logical reasoning, algorithmic thinking, and accuracy—within an engaging, progressive, and immersive environment, distinct from traditional contests or previous ACPC events like AlgoHeist or Byte-o-Lantern.
