Rather than asking ChatGPT generic questions about wine, you’ll learn how to give AI enough context to make its recommendations, explanations, and comparisons genuinely useful.
We’ll use real wine preferences and practical exercises to explore how AI can help you:
Identify patterns in the wines you already love
Discover new grapes, regions, and producers to explore
Compare wines and understand why they taste different
Get smarter food-pairing recommendations
Navigate restaurant wine lists and bottle shops with more confidence
Learn unfamiliar regions in the context of wines you already understand
Build a reusable wine profile that becomes more useful as you continue tasting
You’ll create a personal palate profile, use it to build and test your AI wine assistant, and learn how to improve it as your tastes evolve.
Bring a few examples of wines you’ve loved and some you didn’t, along with your preferred price range and any regions or styles you’re curious about.
No technical background is required. You do not need to be a wine expert either. This is designed for curious wine drinkers who want to deepen their knowledge, make better discoveries, and use AI as a tool for learning rather than as a replacement for taste or expertise.
You’ll leave with your own personal AI wine assistant, a palate-profile template, and a set of prompts and exercises you can keep using long after the workshop.

Mitch Robertson is a 10-time startup founder, educator, wine writer, and wine industry practitioner working at the intersection of emerging technology, entrepreneurship, and wine.
He holds a degree in Enology and Viticulture, has hands-on experience in wine production, and has completed WSET wine certifications. His wine work also includes Barrel + Verse, a project focused on the people, places, producers, and stories shaping wine and spirits.
