About Event

Seattle’s hardware community is coming together again for an evening of connection, collaboration, and conversation around all things physical product design, prototyping, and manufacturing.

Whether you’re an engineer, industrial designer, machinist, or just passionate about building things — this is the place to meet others shaping the future of hardware in the Pacific Northwest.

We’ll be meeting up at Fremont Brewery where our gracious hosts have reserved an event space for us. Following our guest talks and Open Mic, folks are invited to meander over to FixturFab for an Open House.

Come join us, and wear your best Halloween costume!!

Speakers:

One Court -

OneCourt is a sports-technology startup making live sports more accessible for fans with blindness or low vision. Whether in the stadium or at home, fans use OneCourt's haptic display to follow the action with their fingertips. In 2024, OneCourt launched its B2B business by licensing its technology to sports teams, gaining traction across the NBA, NFL, MLB, and FIFA.

Phillip Marks -

Back in the early days of his career, Phillip was the software lead for a JPL mission called OPALS. OPALS was a lasercom demonstration from the ISS to the ground that was meant to prove out an existing system used in airborne tests. Though it was ultimately successful, the mission and team faced many challenges, such as trying to fly non-vacuum compatible electronics, particularly overly focused optics, a power board that was half blue wire, and "too much junk in the [Dragon] trunk".

About the Sponsor — Snapfab is a digital manufacturing platform that makes injection-molded parts more accessible earlier in the product development cycle, giving engineers the freedom to test and iterate with real materials as easily and confidently as ordering 3D prints.

About the Host — FixturFab envisions hardware testing at the speed of software, empowering design teams with AI-driven test plans and custom equipment for PCBA testing from prototype to production. Working with FixturFab reduces test development time by up to 80% through FixturFab Studio, a unique platform that streamlines the full test engineering stack from strategy to equipment.

FixturFab Studio offers a single process to source any test solution—from fixtures to turnkey systems—for testing prototypes through production.
