Screening: The Silent (R)evolution

The Jailhouse Lawyers Initiative at LEAH invites you to a screening of The Silent (R)evolution: Freedom from the Inside Out, a documentary by Julius Irving.

A man walks into a courtroom expecting to go home and instead hears a verdict that changes everything. The Silent (R)evolution looks at the penal system from the inside out: what it takes from people, and what they build in spite of it.

The film was created through Represent Justice's Ambassador Program, which trains people impacted by the justice system as filmmakers and impact campaigners. It premiered at the Directors Guild of America in Los Angeles in 2026.

Stay after the screening for a post-film discussion with the filmmaker, Julius Irving. Julius is a Gainesville, FL organizer and the community engagement coordinator at Community Spring. His work builds civic power and voting engagement in communities pushed to the margins.
