AUGUST CLASS

​We start at 7:30pm with a dance class where you will learn beginner dances to pop songs and queer anthems. With a lot of opportunity to freestyle and dance in anyway that feels good for you.

​At 8:30pm the space turns into a dance party and there will also be a space to hang out or talk quietly!

​What should I wear?

​Come in drag or dress in something that you've always wanted to wear but you've been too scared! Drag is about performing gender expression and creating a character that is maybe different than who you are day to day. But also dress in anything that feels comfortable!!

​How hard will the dance class be?

​The class is for people that are completely new to dance or love to dance but haven't taken many formal classes before! This class is about having fun and experiencing the unique joy that can come from movement, music and connection. There's no such thing as making a "mistake"!

​What's the format of the dance class?

​We will start with an activity to get know everyone in the room and establish a sense of psychological safety. We will then have a warmup, learn a dance or two and end by dancing all together!
