​Join Indigenous Amazonian leaders and allies in their call to end oil, gas, and mining extraction in the Amazon while advancing a just transition that protects the climate, safeguards biodiversity, and guarantees the rights of Indigenous Peoples, local communities, and nature.

​The Amazon is in a state of emergency. Oil and mining expansion, accelerating deforestation, and the spread of illegal mining and other criminal economies have pushed the region to a critical ecological tipping point, while placing growing pressure on Indigenous territories and threatening the lives and safety of Indigenous Peoples and environmental defenders. Building on growing regional momentum—from the Santa Marta conference on the transition away from fossil fuels to FOSPA (Foro Social Panamazónico) and Indigenous-led movements across the Amazon—this live event will examine what it will take to confront these interconnected threats and advance a just and equitable transition beyond extraction.
