Mini-Hackathon ($200 per agent)
🎯 Challenge Overview
Build a functional AI agent using the Pydantic AI framework that connects to at least one external tool and provides real-time status updates through a modern web interface. This hackathon focuses on creating intelligent agents with streaming capabilities - the foundation for future ISEK network integration.
What You'll Build:
A Pydantic AI-powered agent with tool integration
A CopilotKit frontend that streams agent states in real-time
A working demonstration of agent reasoning and tool usage
📋 Requirements
Part 1: Agent Development (90 minutes)
Build a Pydantic AI agent that meets these criteria:
✅ Core Implementation:
Create an agent using Pydantic AI framework with proper validation
Integrate at least one external tool (weather API, file system, calculator, web scraper, etc.)
Define clear agent instructions and success criteria
Implement proper error handling and validation
✅ Agent Capabilities:
Your agent should be able to autonomously reason about when to use tools
Implement streaming of agent thoughts and decisions
Add clear logging of agent reasoning process
Part 2: Frontend Interface (90 minutes)
Create a dynamic web interface using CopilotKit:
✅ Real-time Streaming:
Stream agent status updates: "researching", "deep thinking", "collaborating", "tool execution"
Display current task progress and reasoning chain
Show active peer connections and collaboration state
✅ User Experience:
Interactive chat interface for communicating with your agent
Visual indicators for different agent states
Real-time logs of agent-to-agent communications
Part 3: Integration & Submit (30 minutes)
Connect your frontend to the Pydantic AI agent backend
Publish your Github repository and tag Leyuan
