Made By Hand: A Creative Reset

Unwind. Get your hands dirty. Release the need to get it right.

Join Inward Space and Liz Garcia for Made by Hand, a wellness and pottery experience. This is an invitation to step away from your routines and busy schedules, tap into your creativity, and reconnect with yourself (and others). As the seasons change, we’ll explore how working with clay can offer a meaningful way to reflect on transitions, find grounding amid change, release what we no longer need to carry, and make space for what’s next.

In a world that often asks us to have it all figured out, Made by Hand offers space to experiment, embrace the unexpected, and enjoy the process without the pressure of perfection. Through handbuilding, guided reflection, and meaningful conversation, we’ll explore what it looks like to loosen our grip on control, trust ourselves along the way, and give ourselves permission to simply be.

This is not a traditional pottery workshop. Made by Hand brings together sensory exploration, creative expression, and intentional reflection to create an experience that invites you to engage with clay in a new way.

*Handbuilding is one of the oldest methods of working with clay. It involves using your hands and simple tools to shape and create forms without the use of a pottery wheel.

What Will We Create?

We'll begin by simply getting our hands in the clay, taking some time to explore the material through touch and guided play. From there, we'll create our own worry stones before moving into a guided handbuilding activity where we'll learn how to create a tangible object using coils.

No experience is necessary; come with an open mind and a willingness to explore! Whether you’re a seasoned creative or picking up clay for the first time, the focus isn’t on creating a perfect piece, but on being present, trusting the process, and discovering what takes shape along the way.

What’s Included:

  • 2 ceramic pieces

  • 2 free drinks (non-alcoholic options available)

  • Guided pottery and grounding experience

  • Conversation starters and intentional connection

  • 1 raffle ticket to win a premade ceramic piece, journal, and planner
