Tokenisation of Capital Market Products: Rebuilding the Rails
This session is part of the ACCESS Digital Asset Management Subcommittee (ADAMS) initiative, chaired by Rajiv Premkumar, CEO of Curia Regis and ACCESS Board Member, bringing together industry leaders to explore the evolving role of tokenisation in capital markets.
As tokenisation moves from experimentation to real institutional adoption, capital markets are entering a new phase of transformation. Global banks, asset managers, and infrastructure providers are exploring tokenised funds, bonds, and other financial instruments but key questions remain about how this technology will reshape market structure.
The session will begin with a keynote by Grace Chong, Head of Financial Services Regulation at Drew & Napier, setting the regulatory context for tokenisation in capital markets.
A panel of industry leaders will then examine the practical realities of tokenised markets, including capital efficiency, faster settlement, programmable compliance, and the evolving roles of brokers, distributors, and custodians. The discussion will also explore infrastructure design, custody as the control point for digital assets, and the importance of risk, insurance, and compliance frameworks.
