About Event

Eskawata Kayawai Africa Summer Solstice Community Celebration

With DJ Charl Chaka

The Summer Solstice has always been a sacred turning point for humanity. A day when the sun reaches its most southerly setting point along the western horizon before beginning its journey back across the sky. Across cultures and across time, this moment has been honoured at sacred sites all over the world.

We invite you to gather and groove, in community and celebration as we welcome the longest day of the year, honouring the sun, BARI YUXIBU, and open our hearts to joy, connection, music and movement.
