Earth Night Saint Petersburg 2026 — Soundsystem Culture Day with Sun Drop Social + Eco Market
In celebration of Earth Day, an amalgamation of artists, musicians, and creatives are coming together to put the Sunshine City on the map (literally!) as part of the worldwide DJs for Climate Action's "Earth Night” initiative with a full week of programming. Suite E Studios, Sunshine City Disco, and Galactic Sound & Magic present community workshops, film, talks, and music experiences to uplift, inspire, and engage our beautiful city.
Opt outside and finish our week of Earth Night events with a Sunday reggae and dub social. We’re taking to The Mad Meadow to celebrate soundsystem culture, with a full array of exciting eco vendors. Please note, this is an all-ages, family friendly event and experience. Kids under 18 are free with guardian. It is also BYOB, although there will be non-alcoholic beverage vendors to support.
Even if you can't attend donations, which will go towards DJs For Climate Action’s Earth Night and other environmental organizations, are encouraged. Bundle passes are also offered for access to the full week of programming.
THE SUN DROP SOCIAL
The Sun Drop Social is an interactive percussion-based event specializing in Roots Reggae and Dub music. The percussion section and dub station are open to attendees, and guided by the experienced members of the Apricators - Sun Drop Records’ Studio Band. Playing in the percussion section of a reggae ensemble is very much like having a conversation with your instrument. Each instrument gets its own space within the musical phrase to exist harmoniously with the others.
SUN DROP SOUNDSYSTEM
Reminiscent of the traditional Jamaican soundsystems used by record labels and DJ's in the 60's and 70's, the Sun Drop Soundsystem is more than just a stack of speakers. We specially designed and built this array of long throw speaker boxes and horns from the era, to not only let people hear music, but feel it too.

WHAT IS EARTH NIGHT?
Earth Night is a fundraising initiative from DJs For Climate Action that harnesses the power of electronic music, its history and community, to celebrate the earth, and raise awareness of climate issues and solutions. The 9th annual global celebration will take place during the week of Earth Day.

Bring your own cup or use one of our re-useable steel cups. No glass please!
Minimize your environmental impact by carpooling, using public transportation (~20 min walk from Grand Central & 22nd St N Sunrunner stops), or biking!
Engage with local organizations tabling throughout the event to keep the earth-loving momentum going!
