Cultivating Green Workforce pathways with CELF's New Career Portal

​Set against the backdrop of Houston Energy and Climate Week, this session will explore current readiness gaps and opportunities for advancing green careers for climate action. We'll highlight the latest research on green jobs growth projections across sectors, current skills gaps, and initiatives working to close those workforce skills and readiness gaps.

​We'll share how CELF is cultivating green workforce pathways starting with our youngest learners, and hear from CELF partner and seasoned Green Careers guest speaker Elizabeth Virgl, Texas Coastal Program Manager with the Stopping Plastics and Litter Along Shorelines initiative of the American Bird Conservancy and TAEE Board Member.

​The session will culminate with an introduction to CELF's new Green Career Guest Speaker Portal, and an opportunity for participants to create their own speaker profiles.
