About Event

We’re excited to announce the next edition of Dutch Digital Design's Craft Sessions!

Once again, we’re bringing together our partner community for an afternoon of inspiring work and a closer look at the craft and creative choices behind the cases, followed by drinks and a chance to connect.

👉 What we expect from you, our beloved ambassadors:

  • Review the three cases carefully

  • Come up with questions you’d like to ask the makers

  • Join us at Lama Lama Amsterdam on September 22.
Walk-in: 16:30–17:00. Talks: until 18:30, followed by drinks.

  • If you can’t make it, please pass the invite along to a colleague and have them RSVP instead.

    Our (guest) speakers

    Topic: Rebranding
    Tim Koree (Lama Lama)

What happens when the people behind the brands decide it’s time to rethink their own? Lama Lama recently unveiled a new identity, one that reflects who they are today and where they want to go next. But rebranding yourself is a different kind of challenge. How do you define your own story when you’re usually the ones helping everyone else define theirs?

    Case: Smartphone
    Noah Kroes (Dotdotdash)

For many parents, giving their child a smartphone feels like an all-or-nothing decision. Together with Odido, dotdotdash set out to challenge that. The result is Startphone: an age-adaptive Android experience that introduces children to smartphone use step by step, gradually unlocking new features, responsibilities and digital habits as they grow. Dotdotdash will take us behind the scenes of how this idea became a product.

    Case: Vibr
    Marten Beerda (Independent)

What happens when designers don’t just design, but actually ship? Marten Beerda has been experimenting with AI, code and new ways to bridge the gap between Figma and a finished digital product. His latest experiment is Vibr, a tool he’s building to turn designs into working websites while keeping the designer in control. Marten will share what he’s learned from building and using these tools in practice. Not AI replacing the craft, but AI changing how far the craft can go. From design to code, without losing the design.
