COP31 is scheduled to take place on November 9–20, 2026, in Antalya, Türkiye. For many companies and investors, the annual COP process can feel distant, technical, or bureaucratic. The decisions undertaken here shape global climate policy, capital flows, and corporate accountability for years to come.
In this session, Ergem Senyuva Tohumcu (FutureWise Partners, Co-founder), Emrah Durusut (Navigate Energy, Founder), and Elif Tuğba Avşar (COP31 Türkiye Green Zone Sponsorship Director) will explore what participating in or engaging with COP31 looks like for the private sector, what disclosure and transition planning expectations are emerging, and what strategic steps organisations should be taking now.
Introduction to COP — the history of COP progress to date, current priorities, and how the process actually works
Why businesses need to engage and examples of successful engagement including business partnerships launched at previous COPs
Maximising your presence at COP — this year's announced themes, an overview of the different zones, and our advice on what to do before, during, and after COP
We envision this session to be interactive, allowing participants to meet other organisations who plan to engage with COP, and providing a space for questions, insights, and reflections.
