💫 About the Event
The YRAP Research Committee is hosting an interactive workshop designed to equip members with the essential tools for qualitative interviewing. Whether you are looking ahead to future studies or building your professional career, this session focuses on sharpening your research skills in a hands-on environment.
We’ll start with an insightful presentation from two PhD students from the University of Alberta, followed by a live mock interview. Participants will then move into peer-to-peer practice to gain real-time experience in a supportive setting.

Expert Presentation: Learn the fundamentals of qualitative research from U of A PhD candidates.
Live Mock Interview: Observe a professional interview structure in action.
Hands-on Practice: Conduct one-on-one interviews with your peers using printed prompts.
Dinner Provided: Food will be served to fuel our learning and connection.
A Collaborative Space: Build confidence in your interviewing techniques alongside fellow YRAP members.
