📌 About This Event

Join us for a special screening of "Poetries from the Bookstores: Somewhere I Belong" (2025, Dir. HOU Chi-Jan). In a rapidly changing world, this poetic feature documentary explores Taiwan’s vibrant independent bookstores—sanctuaries for culture, creativity, and reflection—capturing their enduring spirit and the timeless bond between books, readers, and community.

Following the screening, we will host an intimate in-person discussion with Mary, the founder of Berlin's own encounters bookspace, to discuss the film and the vital role of independent book spaces today.
