Join us at the next Effective Altruism Tech London Meetup exploring the "Economic Impacts of Artificial General Intelligence."
Our speaker, Luke Drago, will dive into the critical question of how a world after the creation of human level AI might reshape society and economics. He'll discuss why powerful actors might lose incentives to care about regular people, the potential consequences of this shift, and how we can proactively address these challenges.
Luke previously worked at BlueDot Impact, where he ran the AI Governance and Economics of Transformative AI courses. He also served on Encode’s leadership team, and co-authored AI 2030, signed by Yoshua Bengio, Stuart Russell, Daron Acemoglu, Audrey Tang, Dan Hendrycks, Yi Zeng, and others. He has worked in senior leadership on four US state and local elections.
Doors open at 7pm, giving you plenty of time to grab some snacks and drinks, chat with fellow attendees, and settle in before the talk begins at 8pm.
The ticket price is voluntary, and any leftover funds will be donated to an effective charity.
