Vessels Between

​Fugue Gallery presents Sarah Ringrave’s first solo exhibition, “Vessels Between”.  This new body of work revisits the relic as a place, a link, a channel between the earthly and the divine. Through sculptures, large scale paintings and wood panels, she conceives the body as a mystical container, an envelope, a “vessel” traversed by invisible essences imperceptible to the senses.

Through various aesthetic and technical processes, Vessels Between places the “body-matter” at the thematic core — questioning the intimate boundary between container and content, form and counter-form, inviting the viewer to contemplate the places and spaces of transformation, of passage, of crossing over to other forms and other worlds…
