Group Office Hours with Anand & Rajeev
Anand and Rajeev will conduct group office hours for ISKCON UK devotees who are tech startup founders. Anand will present on startup best practices. Rajeev will discuss devotional life + work. Attendees will speak (if they wish) for 60 seconds (no slides) on your startup and discuss your 3 biggest hurdles today and your single metric goal for the month of August. This is a small roundtable, specifically for those who are 5-15 years into their careers.
SCHEDULE:
1pm: arrive and mingle
1.15pm: Anand presentation on fundraising, structures, co-founders, captables, accelerators and AI market today.
2pm: Rajeev session on devotional life + work life.
2.15pm: group office hour - discuss hurdles & goals with founders in the room.
3.30pm: wrap up and depart.
To give some background: Group Office Hours in the YC-context are bi-weekly, mandatory 2-hour peer-led sessions where YC partners and a small group of startups from the batch (5–7 companies) meet to review progress and enforce accountability. Founders must state their output goals from the previous two weeks and commit to new metrics for the upcoming fortnight. These sessions are highly tactical and structured around strict evaluation metrics:
Progress check-in: "Did you hit your goals for the last two weeks, and if not, why? "
Goal setting: "What are your specific output goals (e.g., revenue/users) for the next two weeks?"
Accountability: "fake work" (like tweaking a website) is discouraged in favor of shipping and generating real demand.
