Billy Frank Nisqually NWR Birding Walk
Come enjoy this beautiful estuary park and the many bird species it attracts! A popular spot for migratory and local species alike, this refuge offers birding opportunities year round. Led by Tahoma Bird Alliance member Julia Dolan, this walk is family friendly and welcomes all skill levels. Meet under the awning by the visitor center!
This walk lasts roughly 4 hours and travels over mostly flat gravel paths and boardwalks. Restrooms and water fountains are available at the visitor center and porta potties are available further into the park by the historic barns. Binoculars are available to borrow from the visitor center. Carpool if possible--parking can be limited on the weekend!
