About Event

Flight School is a small, closed-door session for senior marketers who want space to think clearly about real challenges, with people who actually understand the job.


What this is:

A small, closed-door peer session for senior growth, performance and brand marketers.

It’s a space to talk about what your working on right now and get feedback from some of your smartest peers.

There are no speakers, no slides, and no sponsors.


Who it's for:

Previous guests have come from Monzo, Gusto, CleanCo, SumUp, Bloom & Wild, and similar cool brands.

You’ll enjoy this if:

  • Are responsible for outcomes, not just execution

  • Want thoughtful input on real challenges

  • Prefer discussion over presentations

Attendance is approved to keep the room senior, balanced and useful.


How it works:

This is a guided peer discussion, not free-for-all networking.

  • You’ll be seated in a small supportive group

  • We take turns sharing a real challenge (over a tasty brunch)

  • The group listens, asks questions, and offers perspective

  • We make it easy for everyone to contribute (even if you find this kind of thing a bit scary!)

Why it’s £20

Most senior marketing events are priced for sponsorship and profit. This one isn’t. We run Flight School at cost.

The ticket covers:

  • a private room in a lovely venue

  • proper coffee and a tasty breakfast

  • keeping the group small and intimate

There are no sponsors subsidising the room, no sales agenda and no upsell waiting at the end.


For marketers, by marketers

Flight School is run by Tim Partridge and Tom Pursey. They met as marketing managers at Google in 2006, where they helped launch some of Google’s first brand campaigns. 

Since leaving Google, they have run the agency Flying Object, where the same themes kept coming up in conversations with marketers. This lead to the creation of Flight School - a place to talk about challenges candidly over a croissant and coffee, with peers who understand the job.
