About Event

Sustainability reporting is moving towards more structured, decision-useful information that connects sustainability- and climate-related risks with organisational strategy, financial performance and access to capital.

IFRS S1 & IFRS S2: Sustainability and Climate-Related Disclosures is a practical one-day professional programme focused on applying the International Sustainability Standards Board’s disclosure requirements.

Participants will examine how IFRS S1 establishes the overarching requirements for sustainability-related financial disclosures, while IFRS S2 applies the framework specifically to climate-related risks and opportunities.

The programme works through the four core disclosure areas:

  • Governance

  • Strategy

  • Risk management

  • Metrics and targets

Participants will explore physical and transition climate risks, scenario analysis, Scope 1–3 emissions, materiality, financial connectivity and the relationship between IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards and ESRS/CSRD reporting.

Practical exercises culminate in a group case study where participants build a simplified disclosure matrix, identify missing information and propose a structured gap-closing plan.
