About Event

Have you ever looked at a website and immediately closed it because it hurt your eyes? Welcome to your crash course in visual sanity, hosted by the Augustinian Developers Society (ADS-USA) in partnership with UX Western Visayas.

About the Event
Bad design isn't just "ugly"—it’s misinformation, it’s wasteful, and it’s bad for business. Whether you are a CS student coding a frontend or someone tired of looking at stretched images, this tactical workshop will teach you the logic behind good visual communication.

What to Expect

  • Part I: The Ugly (The Roast): We will analyze real-world examples of terrible design and deconstruct why they fail regarding cognitive load and accessibility.

  • Part II: The Good (The Toolkit): Learn the CRAP Principles (Contrast, Repetition, Alignment, Proximity) to fix designs.

  • Part III: The Bad Turned Good (The Workshop): A rapid redesign challenge where you have 45 minutes to fix a cursed design asset using Canva.
