Whose Memory Survives? Civic Memory, Provenance, and the Right to Be Remembered
When AI retrieves and summarizes, it picks what counts. When platforms shut down, whole communities' archives disappear with them. This session works on DP22 (Civic Memory & Epistemic Continuity) and DP15 (Security & Provenance) — together they decide which voices and records survive the next platform turn. We'll look at the Differently-Pathway question "Who interprets reality?" and break into small groups to argue out: should a community be able to demand its interpretation be preserved alongside the canonical record? Ties to the AI & Human Agency pathway. Participants leave with a one-sentence test they can apply to any platform or protocol.
