Café co-working @ The Lake House
HackAotearoa is a free fortnightly co-working day for startup founders, indie hackers, designers and makers building their own thing — and we're going on a café co-working field trip again!
This week we'll be visiting The Lake House Cafe in Takapuna, Auckland ☕
A bit about this café
The Lake House Cafe is part of the Lake House Arts Centre which supports local arts, culture, and heritage programmes in Auckland. The café opens out into a garden/open field, and you'll find original paintings and artworks by Auckland-based artists displayed along the walls. It's a place that feels slow and peaceful, far from the busyness of the city. There's also Egyptian and Turkish food on the menu from the owner's own heritage.
A bit about this event
Between HackAotearoa's fortnightly Fridays, we want to keep our community's creative and connective momentum going, and what better way than discovering work-friendly cafes along the way! There's no set structure for these field trip days—you're welcome to use this time and space however you'd like. Hannah and Geoff will be aiming to arrive around 8:30, so come say Hi!
What to know before you go
The Lake House is open from 8:30am–3:00pm on Fridays (NOTE: their operating hours on Google Maps are being updated).
They're offering us 50% off coffees between 8:30–9:30am! 🔥
Our remote workers are expected to make at least one purchase every 3 hours (e.g. a coffee in the morning then lunch later).
Parking is available (no time limit), and it’s a short 5min walk from the Akoranga Bus Station.
Please remember to sign up so we can let the café know roughly how many people are coming.
