POSTPONED, Date TBD: Robotics and Simulations using Open 3D Engine and ROS2 - Robot Operating System - SGVLUG Monthly Meeting Presentation
** This event is being temporarily postponed but is still in development **
Note: O3DE version 25.10 is OUT! It has even more updated ROS2 features as well as quite a few improvements engine and documentation wide. ROSCon has wrapped up in Singapore and O3DE was demo'd in the AMD booth running Agentic AI robotics!
This presentation is now targeted to happen in mid February, after the holidays. See the blast below this description for more information.
The SGV Linux Users Group Monthly Meeting on [date TBD] will be hosting a presentation on open source robotics and simulations using the Open 3D Engine(o3de.org) and ROS2 Robot Operating System(ros.org). Topics covered will include what is O3DEngine, how it works with ROS2, how to onboard to the community project and get started making simulations. Also discussed will be SpaceROS, asset management, real-time high-fidelity simulation rendering, plus Joe Bryant, Open 3D Foundation Executive Director, will be sharing a few of his insights with the Pasadena community.
Who would benefit from this presentation: Anyone from enthusiasts to specialized professionals with interests in robotics simulators. The main industries covered will be aerospace, digital twins, manufacturing, warehousing and logistics, agriculture, automotive, virtual/volume production, real-time high-fidelity rendering, interactive media and entertainment.
