Alibaba Cloud x Qoder Hackathon Singapore 2026
Hosted in collaboration with Alibaba Cloud
Build real software and applications with Qoder
About the Hackathon
Join the Qoder AI Hackathon in Singapore — a hands-on event spotlighting Qoder, AI-native productivity and agentic AI coding platform. Whether you're a seasoned developer or someone with zero coding experience, this is your chance to ship real projects using Qoder's Expert Mode and Quest Mode as your primary build canvas.
Spend one day building alongside mentors and peers, then continue refining your project over a 2-week post-event window. Share your work on social media, get recognized, and win cash prizes.
Who Should Join?
This hackathon is intentionally open. We're looking for a diverse mix of builders:
Developers exploring agentic AI coding workflows
Product managers and entrepreneurs shipping working software from ideas
Designers and analysts building tools with AI assistance
The event will be hosted offline in Singapore, so please register if you able to join us onsite!
What You'll Build
Use Qoder as your primary build tool to create real, functional projects. Your project should demonstrate effective use of:
Spec-Driven Workflow — Write a clear Spec document first, then use Quest Mode to autonomously execute and build the project step-by-step
Quest Mode Orchestration — Leverage Qoder's agentic task execution to break complex projects into verifiable, multi-step tasks — from architecture design to code delivery
Qoder IDE CLI JetBrains Plugin — Use any Qoder interface (Desktop, CLI, or JetBrains Plugin) as your primary coding environment
Qwen Models (optional) — Access Qwen models (LLM and multimodal) via Qoder for AI-powered features
Topics:
Build (Developers) — Write code and deliver a working project using Qoder's full toolchain
Spec (Zero Code) — Just write your idea clearly as a Spec. Product managers, entrepreneurs, and students can all participate — Qoder's Quest Mode will do the building
Suggested project areas: Developer tools, creative automation, data dashboards, workflow automation, internal tooling, document/legal automation, and more.
Projects must demonstrate a clear use case, practical functionality, and thoughtful use of Qoder's capabilities.

2nd Place: USD 1,000 cash + 1 Month Qoder Pro Plan + Certificate + Special souvenirs + Social feature
3rd Place: USD 500 cash + 5,000 credits + Certificate + Special souvenirs + Social feature

Onsite Day (22 July)
Opening & Product Intro: A brief Qoder product introduction from the Alibaba Cloud / Qoder team. Because the tool has a very low barrier to entry, this is designed to get every attendee — including non-developers — hands-on quickly.
Hands-on Build Time: Start building your Qoder project on-site with mentor support from Qoder engineers.
No On-site Judging: Projects don't need to be finalized on the day. You'll leave with a clear submission framework and continue building post-event.
Post-Event (2 Weeks)
Finalize your project at your own pace.
Post your project on LinkedIn or X and tag the official Alibaba Cloud and Qoder accounts.
Include a short write-up and/or demo video alongside your social post.
Judging Criteria
Innovation & Creativity — 25% — Originality of idea; creative use of Qoder's Quest Mode + Expert Mode
Use of Qoder — 30% — Effective use of agentic capabilities, AI integration, workflow reusability
Impact — 20% — Solves a real-world problem; likelihood of real-world adoption
Technical Execution — 15% — Completeness (incl. demo video), end-to-end functionality, appropriate complexity
Presentation & UGC — 10% — Clear explanation in videos, social post, engagement, correct tagging
FAQ

Can I participate in a team? Yes! You can form teams of up to 4 people. Solo participants are also welcome — we'll help you connect with others on the day.
What do I need to bring? Just your laptop and curiosity. Qoder access will be provided during the event.
How do I submit my project? Detailed submission guidelines will be shared on the onsite day.
Is there a cost to participate? No. The hackathon is completely free.
